Coming up for air.

It has been an extremely busy week so far; pitches tend to shrink your schedule. I have also been busy in my off time, working on bringing my personal site up to 2.0 (www.uriahs.com). Once that is fully up and going I will be back to posting a bit more. Due to my lack of time I am posting a drawing I did a long time ago for my sister.

Feeling extra creative tonight...

I took a look back at some of the pirate desktops I did, and realized they were far too busy for your average desktop. I know I hate it when I can't find a file because my desktop is overly complicated and hiding it. In that spirit, I did an updated version of the very first pirate desktop I posted. I think the old white version was too clean for a pirate...so here is the black version (1.1). Don't forget National Talk Like a Pirate Day is coming soon (Sept. 19th).

A successful meeting...

Decided to sketch a bit during a brainstorming meeting today. I have always found that drawing opens up my retention and creativity, contrary to the opinion of my high school English teachers. Maybe sometime soon I will take this guy into Photoshop and "color" him.

Keeping the streak alive

Trying to keep my current creative streak alive despite the heavy load at work. Had a little bit of time last night and started on a personal desktop involving my main World of Warcraft Character. While I haven't played him in about 3 or 4 months, it is still fun to get on every once in awhile and p0wn some noobs.

I think this will be the final rev to this particular mural, or at least until I look at it again and can distinctly pick out several things that are completely wrong, and previously eluded me.

In the end though I have to say I am very happy with this piece and hope it is the first of many old west inspired creations.

Once again time has escaped me and the fingers of sleep are drawing me near. I had time to put in some more work on this tonight, but am still not sure it is done. I think I need to add some dust. Will write more soon, hopefully with a finished mural.

A little further...

Hmmm, I have to start by saying I don't know if I am happy with this yet, but it is either done, or needs a lot more work. The last few nights have been a bit restless and I need to catch up on some sleep, so this is where it sits for tonight. Hope you like it.
